Accommodation and Fishing Rates
Over twenty years ago, Roy and Sorcha Peirce chose to make their home at Grasshopper Cottage on the shore of Lough Corrib. They had been visiting Corr na Móna for many years prior to the move to enjoy for themselves the excellent brown trout fishing and other attractions of the area. The decision to open their home to guests was taken in 1990 and they set about turning the Cottage in to a fishing lodge designed to cater for the needs of the game angler and, in 1998, were one of the founding members of The Great Fishing Houses of Ireland.

Anglers from all over the world come to the Cottage to experience the beauty of the surroundings, the superb fighting quality of the wild brown trout, and to make new friendships both with local people and other visiting anglers. Many fishermen return each year to renew their acquaintance with “the Corrib”, as it is called, to pit their wits against the wily trout and relax and enjoy the hospitality offered by Roy and Sorcha.
Visitors, other than anglers, are also welcome at the Cottage and they can explore and experience the natural beauty of the Joyce Country region and Connemara and engage in various activities including walking, cycling, golf, horse riding etc.
Whatever brings you to Grasshopper Cottage you can be assured of a warm welcome.
